1. The article is about the development of computers and how they have become easier to use as years pass.
2. A pro of this super computer is that it would know everything about you and be able to put all of your ideas into data. A con with this computer is that it will know everything about you, even your deepest untold secrets.
3. I feel that a computer that could read your mind would be extremely beneficial to society. Despite the cons, I do believe that mind reading computers are the next big leap in advancing technology as a whole.
1. The articles is how when computer were first made the only people who could use them were people who knew the programming language of that specific computer. It gave a timeline of progress showing how computers more accessible for people to use. The author talks about a future where your brain can communicate with a computer directly.
2. The pros of a computer being able to read your mind is that it will be easier to make books for authors. It will make game development easier, it will engross players more. The cons could possibly be that this could be used to invade peoples personal thoughts, this could be used to spy on people and probably lead to the arrest of people because of thought crimes.
3. The thought of a computer being able to read my mind is very frightening, and the reason why it scares me is because I feel like it is something that will be able to be done in the near future. This would probably be the biggest invasion of privacy possible. Your mind is the only place where you are truly alone and if this technology is made your thoughts will truly never be private.
1. What is the article about? This article is talk about the first computer to the future of computer and neuro headsets right in your hands and at home right by your computer creating a story with your mind and what could happen in the future with everything in our life.
2. What are the pro and cons of a computer that reads your mind? The pro is you can think about every thing down and make a short story or play a video games and tell it to do and it senes what you are feeling about and maybe it could ask what wrong and showing you something happy and changing your feelings and go back to normal. Cons would be it show your deepest feeling and something secret and something personal and make a personal schedule for you but you don’t want it .
3. How do you feel about a computer that could read you read? (Explain in detail) I think it would be great but bad and hear are my reasons one you don’t need to use your hands , two you would maybe have a easy time if you know what you want to do third reason you can check how is your mind doing the bad reasons are it can shock your mind to death injure your mind and disable you muscles or make you a special person second reason it could cost to much or the machine can have its own mind to control it self third reason put a computer virus in your mind .
1.This article is about the progress of computers over the years. It also talk about when computers were first made and the was super hard to understand to normal people and not for the people who made it.
2. The of having a computer read your mind are that it could not tell people all of the aspects of your brain thought. The pros are reading people's minds to help them with everyday life physically and mentally.
3. My opinion on a computer reading machine is equally good and bad because there is so much more pros and cons about this and i cannot specifically cannot choose.
1. This article’s main focuses on the development over computer over the past few decades, and how they have become easier to use and more accessible. This article also discusses the possibilities of a computer that could read your mind and what its purpose would be used for.
2. There are pros and cons to everything, but by letting a computer a computer read your mind it could make things much similar for communication and creating. By using this type of computer it would be able to interpret your ideas that you are unable to display to other people. For the cons there is always the concern of people’s privacy, and this technology could easily be used to steal thoughts and use them for endless possibilities.
3. If I could use this computer to be more productive, I would not mind using it. I do not care much about privacy issues, so I would not be affected by the cons of this machine as much as other people would be.
1)This article is about the way computer technology has progressed since their introduction and then goes on to explain that in the future, computers will be able to communicate with our brains neurologically to produce scenesand items in a digital world through virtual reality.
2)Some pros would be the ability to produce images and seetings in a virtual world that would allow you to go anywhere, experience anything, and do whatever you want. Some cons would be that just like any other computer device, it can probably be hacked, where horrifying images could be displayed to you, or what you are thinking being sent to other people, such as the hooligans at the NSA
3)I feel that it is a great way that technology can progress and lead to a reformation on everyone's experiences. If it were not for the very likely possibility of people hacking into your virtual world and thoughts, this would be a flawless direction for computers.
1. The article was basically talking about the history of computers and how in 10-15 years computer neural headsets could be developed and may be able to read your mind, in addition to the neural headsets the article also talked about the early history of computers and how hard they were to use in the 1960’s the article stressed computers being hard to use back then by saying the only way to use a computer was to know the programming language they were created with which seems pretty complicated and not easy to do, also those computers took up whole rooms and required specialized wires and a lot of air conditioning.
2. Some pros of a computer that is able to read minds would be to tell you know you really feel about something because you might lie to yourself about how you feel about something, furthermore it would also probably be really easy to organize stuff because the computer is able to read your mind. But in addition to the pros some of the cons are it would be just weird for a computer to be able to read your mind and I personally would not like it because I am pretty sure it would get extremely annoying for this computer to always be reading your mind and it would also be getting all in your personal business which is not something I would like.
3. I feel like it would not be something that I would like at all because it would probably be the biggest privacy invasion I could think of which is not very good because I personally like having my own private life because that is something I enjoy having. But despite that part of a computer that could read your mind I guess it would also be good because if a computer is reading someone’s mind and that person wants to do something dangerous or illegal then the computer could like tell police that they want to do that and the police would probably arrest that person even though they did not act on that thought.
1) The article described the difficulties of using computers and how within the near future, neural headsets would be created for said computers that allow the thoughts of the user to be read.
2) The pros of having a mind reading computer is that searching something up couldn't get any easier than that. Even more so, the computer could just type up for example, code for a program in a flash without any input except thoughts. Organization is absolutely simple. Now, for the cons, the obvious and strikingly concerning con is the mind reading in itself. The mind reading could invade the inner privacy of your thoughts which is highly intrusive to anyone and everyone.
3) I personally am unsure about it because there are so many pros and cons that make it quite indistinguishable if it is the right way to go with technology. Seeing as all of our data is practically being monitored anyway.
1. This article explores the history of programming and computers. It outlines the past, present and future of programming. Within the near future we are moving towards our thoughts communicating directly with computers through neural headsets. 2. The positive aspects to a computer that reads you mind is that it could truly be accessible to all people. Many kids on the autistic spectrum can not speak. If a computer could read their mind it would give them a voice. It could also could assist people with physical disabilities that are not able to type. The negative aspects to a computer that can read your mind is that it invades ones privacy. If it got into the wrong hands it could be used for very bad things. If a criminal got their hands on it they could use it against you. 3. Honestly I don't think I'd be okay with this, because it is an invasion of my privacy. My thoughts are personal to me.
1. This article explores the history of computers, and also one of the potential futures for computing technology. Almost fifty or so years ago was the creation of ENIAC, which required a whole room full of equipment to run simple math equations, and now fifty years later there are computers exponentially more powerful than that first computer and can fit in a typical pants pocket. Otherwise the article focuses on the possibility of cognition-based computing, or a computer receiving commands and control from the thoughts of the user.
2. Just thinking about that concept, "a computer that reads your mind"... utterly unthinkable at this point, even with all of the technology we have. Well, it would lower the barrier of skill to technologically-based fields, and that of course brings both good and bad with it -- it extends the world of programming out to more people who otherwise would be unable to understand the language, but it also lowers the bar for entry to technical jobs, increasing demand and lowering pay. There are two sides to every story, and with each advantage, there are disadvantages that go along with it.
3. So long as the system doesn't require an internet connection to some supercomputer database to function, I'd be all for mental scanning with computers. My only issue is if it requires internet access to work; an internet connection can be easily rerouted through some hacker's computer... but it wouldn't necessarily allow them to gain access to your memories, they would simply see what you think of making in that moment. Just because the machine reads your thoughts, it doesn't mean that a hacker can access your memories... or maybe it does -- frankly, I don't quite know what to think of this kind of tech; I suppose it just seems too advanced at this point.
1. This article is about the rise and incorporation of neuroheadsets as a substitute to existing technology. It presents concepts of how the technology MIGHT work in the near future. The article gives examples of writing and playing games with neuroheadsets.
2. Its hard to address both the pros and cons, because the practical use of this technology is mostly theoretical and without realistic evidence supporting the possibilities. However, the entry level ease-of-access would defiantly be a bonus. People wouldn't have to learn inputs through a controller, but rather just use thought. As for cons, I can't imagine neuroheadsets picking up large amounts of data at a fast and responsive rate. That could make gaming very tedious.
3. Having a computer be able to pick up information from thought is a pretty intimidating thing. It all depends on how and if the recorded information gets send elsewhere or stored by others. That would be way too weird.
The article is basically giving a description of the past present and future of computers. And how soon computers will be able to go inside others minds.
I do not think there are any pros of computers reading your mind, Because i know this can be used as a way to get to people through computer, I believe it is an invasion of privacy and if put in the wrong hands can be used for the wrong reasons.
I do not trust in that kind of technology, and there are some biblical principles that comes into play but i will not mention them in this blog
1. The article is about the history of computers, and what they have evolved into. It goes into multiple ideas and concepts that may be available in the near future. 2. I think that the main pros to having a computer that would read your mind would be al the things you could do with it. There are probably millions of undiscovered artists, directors, and video game designers that simply don't have a way of expressing themselves. With a computer that reads your mind, that would no longer be a problem. As always, the main con would be the security issue. I am not to sure i want something digging around my brain and displaying what ever it sees. It would be like accidentally saying something out loud, but with the thought in your mind. 3. Personally, I would love a computer that would read my mind. A lot of the time, I can think faster than I can put that information onto paper, so having the ability to write it down as quickly as I can think it up would be invaluable. Also, it would help for things such as taking notes, drawing, and writing essays for school.
1. This article is about how we could improve technology to the point of simple using thoughts to control them. After delving into some history about computers, it brought ideas up about creating stories through simple thoughts in your imagination or using devices that track movement in combination with virtual reality headsets to create lifelike experiences in gaming. The overarching idea is that we’ve improved computers so much, turning them from million dollar, room-filling devices with difficult user interfaces to the comparative supercomputers not only in desktops and laptops but in mobile technology. So, it isn’t hard to imagine that possibly in 10 or 20 years, we could be using these technologies to read our thoughts and create truly interactive experiences.
2. Well, the definite pro is the complete immersion that this could provide. For example, what if a game could take real experiences that you’ve had and use those to create a unique horror experience where you encounter what you fear most. Another idea would be the ability to search your mind for ‘lost memories’. By this, I mean memories we’ve forgotten but still live in our brain. The con to this kind of technology would be would be hackers. In our current time, we have people that have been able to mess with cars, steal identities, and make unfair gaming environments all using technology. By having a computer that reads your mind hacked, this could be the metaphorical gold mine for an identity thief. Because, subconsciously, all information based on touch, feel, sound, or seen is stored. So, this would allow a hacker to possibly access tons of important information and use it against you.
3. I think a computer that could read minds would be pretty awesome in theory. However, I feel it would have to be limited in not only time used but its purpose. The problem with our society today is that we constantly abuse the technology we are given. For example, people before phones used to only be able to see each other by planning something ahead of time or going to school or pure luck. Now we can instantly make plans and this makes it less likely for actual plans to be made ahead of time. I’ve seen this within my own group of friends as well as myself. So, with this kind of technology, people could fully immerse themselves and stop caring about anything else in the world. So, great in theory; bad in practice.
1. This article explores the direction that computer development is proceeding. The author describes the fact that computers are becoming more and more accessible to the general public. When the computer was first invented, the only way a user could interact with it was through code, something that many people did not understand. Eventually the language was expanded and so too was the audience. It was not until the invention of the mouse interface that “normal” people could interact with the computer. This computer accessibility has increased rapidly in the past couple of decades. The author is most excited about the implications that Virtual Reality could have on computer-human interactions. This could allow people with no prior computational skills to create complex programs and interact with the computer in a manner completely outside what was believed to be possible. Personally, I think the described idea of creating history simulations would be immensely incredible.
2. Pros - There would be a greater ease of computing. If a computer could analyze your brain waves, it could be performing tasks before you even formally request it to do so. It would also make it easier to create things if you were only constrained by your own mind. For example, if you are not talented in drawing, you could still draw something spectacular in your imagination. Then it would be up to the computer to transcribe it. Cons - Nothing would be private any more. If a computer could read your thoughts in order to transpose them, what would be stopping it from storing this wealth of information? This is information that could be potentially harmful if the wrong person happened to get ahold of them. For example, your computer would know everything you think about.
3. Personally, I would prefer not to have one. That is a little too science-fictiony for me. I know that there could be some cool implications for this technology but I personally couldn’t get over the invasion of privacy that I believe could occur. I would not give that up just for the potential conveniences of faster computer interaction. That being said, I would love to see this technology develop and the many ways that it could be used.
1. The article is about how computers have become easier to use, more accessible, and helpful in people's lives. They started out being huge machines that only few people knew how to use. Now computers are in almost everyone's pockets. Soon technology might be able to read minds.
2. One of the pros is that people who are paralyzed could communicate. Another pro is that you wouldn't have to learn controls to interact with a computer. A con would be people could potentially know what others were thinking. This could be bad because we have the right to privacy.
3. I would have to see and use a computer that read my mind before forming an opinion on it. I don't know if I would find it creepy or useful. It depends on how elaborately it could read minds.
1 This article is about ideas that could become reality with new technology in about the next fifteen years and how technology has change over the years so now anyone can use it. It tells you about how we have come from the 1980's where we needed expert programmers and to punch holes in card stock to get a computer to actually do something while now all we have to do is simple gestures and technology has become easier for non-programmers to use. Writers would be able to make drafts by imagining dialogue with a headset that will read your brain and games will be interactive in a virtual world. 2 Some pros to having a computer that reads your mind is you probably have the computer perform actions as fast as you can think of something. You would just have a thought and right there you will have it. To have a computer that reads our minds we can create a fantasy that comes to life, we can make innovations that would change how everything works just be a computer recognizing its potential. The cons though would be people with bad intentions using it for bad purposes. If someone has a corrupt brain or bad views anything could happen and the computer will make happen. 3 I would not want to have a computer read my mind. Your mind is the only place that will be safe for your thoughts and ideas about things. I would not want the chance of someone being able to read everything going on in my head. I'd rather have privacy than to create the greatest invention of all time or create the coolest world imaginable with a computer.
1) The Article is pretty much about how technology(computers) have changed over the past 15 years of technology. It tell us about how the new technology will make it easier for people to use tech. How they are trying to make computers help people that don't know much about technology and in a couple year they say they might have it.
2)The Pros of a computer that can read your mind is that your computer can help you do stuff. Lets say that your mad about not knowing how to do something on the computer , your computer would know that and help you get where you want. A Con of the computer would be that people with bad thoughts would use it for bad stuff, also maybe you don't want the computer to know what your thinking and you couldn't do anything about it.
3)I don't think I would like it that much,I kind of want to keep my own thoughts. The technology would most like save what I would be saying too. The only thing I would want to use it for would be if I wanted to save my thoughts or what I was going to say for a project or homework.
1. The article is a statement that technology is the cornerstone of the world, since the beginning of the tech era to the current time people are able to understand and use these devices instead of having to learn the programming behind it to be able to use tech. And thus it has come to the time when the tech is going beyond and reading peoples thoughts and translating it into code to be used and shown digitally. 2. There are some major Pros but as well as Cons- If the technology to read the brainwaves behind users is used for tasks like arts and entertainment will be made easier to make and use but at the same time war and politics would change to new levels where all is cyber warfare, we would have something along the lines of i,robot... It is a good concept and will change reality for all but there need to be restrictions... 3. I would love one, since having one would be able to transcend the VR setup and go beyond that to show me things that I want and not only the things that were programmed into it... All in all the privacy might be peeked by NSA and CSI and who not but what isnt already... If this is the way things are going, soon we might be able to use the technology to become virtual beings because if it can read our thoughts then it can transcribe it into an AI. My god the future is here.
1. The article was basically a history of how computers have more accessible to everyone and the possible future of computers. At first the article talks about how you needed to be a brilliant coder and mathematician in order to just make a line. The article then talks about how the graphic interface and the creation of tools made things much more simple and accessible to everyone. Then the article talks about the new tech like vr and finally talks about the possible future. In this future computers can read human thoughts and can compute at the speed of thought.
2. There are many pros and cons to a computer that can read human thoughts. One huge pro is that is allows anyone to create games, documents, and videos even if you don't know how to use a computer. One con is this technology could be used to violate privacy. A example would be that anyone who has access to your computer could basically see what you are thinking on a normal basis. It could also be used by a government to gain more information on someone.
3. I think a computer that can read minds is really cool, but I honestly think I wouldn't use it much. I personally like to learn how to use programs on a computer and how to also code. I also feel that eventually the device would be used to violate my privacy.
1. The basic idea of the article is the expansion of technology and the ever increasing usability of technology. Although it was not the main focus, the thought was mentioned of a modeling or writing program able to take images and writing from the mind of the user. The idea of computer technology coming to the point where it is nearly effortless to write a story or create a game.
2. The uses stated in the article are most of the benefits. The ideas that a computer could become much more useful through human interaction and reading the human’s mind. The possible immersive experience with technology would be nearly endless when mixed with virtual reality. Problems would be very similar to those with AI and just virtual reality in general. People could become to immersed in their worlds to the point of not wanting to leave. There is also the idea that people could create something they did not mean to. Bad thoughts could cause problems especially if AI was mixed in with the technology. A superintelligent AI could interpret a person as a threat based on their thoughts. There are some small things that could cause problems.
3. I have an extremely active imagination. There are some ideas that would be awesome for a computer to find and then put into a virtual space. Then again, because my mind is so active the virtual world could get extremely flooded with ideas to the point where I could not control it. The human brain is extremely unpredictable. This whole idea mixed with the problems stated before shows that this technology would require some serious restrictions.
1. This article summarizes the advancement of computers and how they are becoming easier for programmers, technicians, and scientists to work with. Computers have gone from being expensive and covering up entire rooms, only usable by those who had an adept understanding of programming, to being small, with touch-screens and 3D technology. The author goes on to share his hopes of writing his own games which include social dynamics and more realistic interactions once “human thought can communicate directly with computers.”
2. Obviously, the first con to get out of the way is the whole theory of AIs and computers rising to the human level of sentient and all the destruction which may come with it. I feel as though a great technological flaw will arise, in which the mind-reading computer cannot process the correct thoughts its user is trying to convey. Nonetheless, I would love for such an easy way to project my thoughts for an essay onto a document then be able to edit what I have projected from there.
3. I am not too sure on my thoughts regarding a mind-reading computer. Of course, the programs and such which would arise from such a creation would be nonetheless interesting and fun to toy with, but there is something about an AI that can have access to my deepest thoughts that just gives me the chills.
1. This article shows the history of computers and the future for computers. 70 years ago the first computer was built and required a room full of equipment to run, now 50 years later there are computers faster and smaller than that first computer and can fit into the palms of your hands. This article is about a computer receiving commands and control from the thoughts of the user or cognition-based computing.
2. A computer that can read you mind would definitely take technology to the future even with all of the new and faster technology we have now. Pros to this type of computer would be to make it easier for programmers and coders to do their job as they could just think and it would go into the computer. Another pro would be it could help people who can’t talk or that are paralyzed be able to talk again as what they are thinking would be transferred into the computer. Cons to this computer could be hackers getting into your computer and being able to know everything that you are thinking and would be able to know anything about you by what you are thinking. Also hacker could possibly hack into your brain since the computer is connected to you brain and may be able to control what you do and what you think of.
3. I would be against computers that would be able to read you mind. Although there are many pros to this type of computer giving people who aren’t able to talk and people who are paralyzed the chance to talk again through this computer, there are too many risk that go along with this computer. This computer could make everyday things better and could help and maybe save many people, but I don’t like the idea of people being able to know what I am thinking at every second and being able to hack into the computer and controlling my thoughts and actions.
1. The main idea of the article is how computers have evolved over the years. It tells the readers how computers are becoming more accessible and easier for people to use. Also the article talks about how computers will have the ability to read minds. 2. A pro of a computer that can read one's mind is that it can make the user of the computer use the computer a lot easier. A con is that since the government can see what everyone is doing on almost any computer, and if a computer reads minds and keeps a history on what you think then the government can keep track on the user. 3. My opinion on mind reading computers is that they are completely unnecessary. Also I feel that we should just enjoy what we have now, and take our time from going to such extents of technology that isn't necessary at the moment because have people really become so lazy to now have to just think without movement to use a computer.
1. The article is about a computer that can actually monitor brain activity and recognize specific patterns that show what you’re thinking about. The also includes information on how computers have “evolved” throughout the years.
2. Some pros of the technology would be that it might lead to better virtual reality and allow people to find things much more easily and catalogue things that they have thought. Some of the cons of it would be that it would monitor everything you think, and recognize what you’re thinking about. Generally, you wouldn’t want a computer or someone else knowing every single thing you think about and do. Even the best people sometimes have things they wouldn’t want other people, or even computers, knowing.
3. I don’t know if I’d ever really get used to a computer knowing everything I think. While it would be extremely useful for many things (like never forgetting something again), it would also be very intrusive into any secrets I have or anything I ever think about. Unless it’s 100% proven that it will never be used for anything malicious against me, I don’t know if I would ever do it.
1. This article is about how computers have advanced. It talks about how difficult it was to use computers and how over the years, we have developed ways of making it easier to the point that, in the near future, we could communicate with our device with our minds. 2.The pros would be how you could extramy easily control things on your computer and input data with your mind, cons would be that the computer would know every thing in your mind, which is not something anyone wants. 3. I think a computer that could read minds would be a huge step in technological advancements, but intrusion of privacy is a bit much for me
1.This article describes the trends in the advancements in technology and uses them to predict future technology, tying in his own research in neurotransmitters in his prediction.
2. A computer that can read your mind can provide advantages to many, including blind and paralyzed people. Furthermore, it could eliminate the need for keyboards and mice, as one can just think and the computer will respond. It will significantly speed up processes, as well. The downside is that there are no secrets- people can take advantage of this and use neurotransmitters to gather data such as passwords or social security numbers or sensitive information.
3. A computer that could read my mind would be an amazing advance in technology, but it would also be a major privacy intrusion. There would have to be some major safeguards built into it for me to even consider using anything that could read my mind.
2. I do not think there are any pros of computers reading your mind, Because i know this can be used as a way to get to people through computer, I believe it is an invasion of privacy and if put in the wrong hands can be used for the wrong reasons.
3. I'm personally ok with it due to fact that humans are imperfect and what they make is imperfect so it would be like something "humanish".
1) The article talks about the advancement in computer technology over the years, it talks about how the first computers were super expensive and were locked inside the room, and only certain group of people were able to use it.
2) Pros would be that its a advancement in computer technology and you can get more accurate results if computer could read your mind, it might also be used by government agencies such as CIA's and FBI's to track down any threats.
3) I think its really good as long as you use it properly, but the hackers might hack your system and expose your private stuff and your secret thoughts to the entire world and obviously you dont want that.
1. The article is about how the first computers wear only for the people that know how to use and make programs also how computers have developed throughout the years and how easy it is to buy one.
2. The cons for me is that it could be easier for people to get into others privacy, a pro could be that it could be easier for people in need to use computers.
3. I think it would be bad for computes to read your mind because hackers could hack into your computer and release your private information also information that could be in your mind.
1. This is a article that can process what your brain is thinking and understands whats going on in your brain 2. The pros are that is can be more human like having the process to read minds and then take that information and use that thinking to acted like a human, the cons are that this will go wrong and robots will hide as humans and then kill us all. :) 3. I would want to read my mind so it can help builds things in my way the way i see things and what I want to do with things like building a house, it can see what a house looks like to me.
1. This article is about making computers simpler to use so simple that we don't even have to physically move to do something. Just like in Wall-e.
2. A computer that can read minds means more control from whoever is in control of the computers. Pros would be that we don't have to move at all to do stuff
3. I would not feel comfortable as many other people would feel comfortable with something reaching their inner thoughts. Its just not right man.
1) This article is about how computers have evolved over the years and have been made much easier to use. In fact, computers may be able to capture brain activity and process it.
2) The pros of a computer like this is that developing games will be much easier and faster, however the cons are of course that the computer will be able to read your thoughts and invade privacy. Also, programming would be made a lot easier for people and more accessible, causing a decline in video game sales.
3) I'd be down with a computer that can develop a game within a few minutes. I like to think about how if I could program, my game would look like this, and come up with many ideas.
1. This article is about the evolution of technology, the ease and comfort they have been able to offer to its users over time, and the possibility of mind-reading technology.
2. While a computer that could read minds provides greatly in the realm of comfort and accessibility, the threats to privacy would triple. After all, if it's already so easy for a hacker to take all of a persons info now, though the vast amount of information we keep on a phone, imagine how much can be stolen from a mind.
3. I would rather not use this technology often, and if I did, I would never put my real personal info into it, but I would fund and support its release for all of the blind, elderly, or otherwise disabled to use.
1.This article is about the possibilities of human interaction with computers and the history that we have had with computers.
2. the pros are that it would do what you want and you didn't need to say anything at all. the cons would be that it could become sentient and try to kill you.
3.I would not like it because i appreciate my privacy.
1) This article is about advanced interactions with technology and computers. It talks specifically about neural interfaces, where a computer directly reads the users mind and does what they are thinking, for example playing a Youtube video when the user thinks go. 2) The pros is a massive advancement in the interfacing systems in computers, as it allows for direct control over everything a computer does, potentially revolutionizing the video gaming industry. The cons are that it poses a massive privacy breach as your thought can now be read no matter what they are. 3) I feel like it would be a really cool thing for video games but I would only do it if I was 100% sure that my privacy would still exist.

1) This article talks about how interacting with computers will change and how computers could help people by reading minds. 2. If a computer can read your mind, then you can use it to remember that fact for the history test you have tomorrow. The downsides to this is that anyone could read your mind and they could use your own thoughts against you. Also, sometimes we remember things the incorrectly 3. I would not like a computer that could read someone's thoughts, because it is an invasion of privacy. Also people could use your own thoughts against
1.)The article describes a world of 3D and the future of technology and how the environment around us will change. The Author says he wishes to see a future that one day he can see his work in virtual reality and save it taking up less space. 2.) The pros of being able to use virtual reality would be working in a nice environment workspace without distractions and limitations. The con of a mind reading computer is that privacy would be invaded for some people and social interactions would change. 3.) A computer that can read my mind read would be astonishingly expensive and rarely useful for thee is much to be done physically in the real world such as pollution. Using a computer would be creatin a simulation.

1) This article describes about the time when technology was expensive and new to the world in the early 1960's. They're talking of when computerizing was very hard and when people had to pay lots of money just to use 3D which is only 100$ now-a-days.
2) The pros on a computer that can read your mind is that you can easily remember things you forgot during the past years and can help you to see when you had a problem that grew. The cons is that it might mess with your mind and will hurt it so you can't really remember things for a while.
3) It would be cool but it would be useless during other things such as, the real world, and during a interview, it's currently the lest known thing but will grow fast because people will post it in their Twitters or Social Media apps.

1. The article presents the technology that is soon to be presented to the world that can improve our everyday activities. 2. A pro of having technology that can read your brain is that they can understand and respond to situations before our brains can even register what has happened. A con is that anyone who can get into the system that controls the chips that ca be put into our brains can potentially have full control of our bodies. 3. I think something being that fast and powerful could be cool on paper, but is very dangerous. I feel perfectly fine without having chips in my brain.
1. this article is about the development of computers and how easier to use.
2. the pro is the computer will know everything about you and put your ideas into data. the con about this computer is it will know everything about you even your secrets
3. i don't like that because its my private thoughts and i would really like if it wouldnt read my read
1.) The article was basically describing the coming of computers that can actually function based on the user’s thoughts, and also went in depth on certain leaps that technology has taken, and how those changes made doing different things easier, which also went to show why this kind of technology is a possibility in the not too distant future. 2.) One of the pros I can think of with mind reading tech would be that it would make doing certain tasks in the computer impossibly easy, just think it and it’s done. Doing that can also open up other possibilities with other kinds of technology, like say that technology can be put into some form of robot that would allow hard labor to be done easily. A possible con could be the neurological load it can have on a person, as there is the possibility that if doing something to difficult or just doing anything for extreme lengths of time with mental type technology, it can probably cause a person’s neural or even mental state to deteriorate. 3.) Quite honestly I would love technology that acts based on thoughts, that way things like Jeager tech from Pacific Rim might just come about soon. Getting that kind of tech would be so amazing, as that’s the kind of tech that I am obsessed with, the kind that deals with exo-skeletal suites and other things of that caliber. Just as long as the mental tech isn’t exactly intrusive or anything, I would hate to lose the solace that is my mind, plus I hope that the mental strain wouldn’t be a problem, though in some ways that could possibly be avoided by taking certain measures. Other than that though, I’d be all for mental tech like that.
1.) This article describes the development and advancement of computers over the years, and how they are easier to use, and how in the future you may be able to directly communicate with the computer itself.
2.) A pro would be its ease of use and ability to put all of your thoughts into the computer. The cons could be it could go deeper into your mind than you imagine and put things on that you wouldn't necessarily want on there.
3.) I feel this is really creepy. The idea is really cool and exciting for the development of technology, but the whole idea of having a computer read my mind creeps my out. This is all really interesting but I don't think I'd ever use a computer that could just read my thoughts.
1. This talks about how far we have reached in computer technology and the major difference in prices they got to. Before in the way back a basic computer would cost millions to have but these days you could pick one up for 200. Its a huge change on how far we have gotten with these. 2. A Pro is that it shows us how far we have gotten and how much of nerds we are. Plus we could possibly see with this tech on how peoples minds work and into further work with them. Cons are that people could use these for bad and get some info others don't want to see. This could make more enemies by brain washing people and getting leaked info to them. Also if it breaks could fry your head :). 3. In my opinion I think this is pretty bad and awkward to think of. Because people could find out your secrets plus make more Government secrets and the hippies would flip out and make more things about this. Its just really messed up.
1. This article is about computers and them advancing to the now nero controllers. He is talking how much fun it would be to have this control system for games and you really are in first person. 2. Pros: Faster control More responsive Can be used for prosthetic Reading books fast Cons: Government mind reading Not enough going outside. 3. That makes me happy. Do not worry if the computer took over the world it would require a program that would take longer than a lifetime to make even with this control. I am not to worried. I think it expands opportunity.
A super intelligent AI could interpret a person as a threat based on their thoughts. There are some small things that could cause problems.

1. The article is about the development of computers and how they have become easier to use as years pass.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2)Some pros would be the ability to produce images and seetings in a virtual world that would allow you to go anywhere, experience anything, and do whatever you want.
ReplyDelete1.
ReplyDelete2) The pros of having a mind reading computer is that searching something up couldn't get any easier than that.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.

ReplyDelete1.
ReplyDeleteI do not think there are any pros of computers reading your mind, Because i know this can be used as a way to get to people through computer, I believe it is an invasion of privacy and if put in the wrong hands can be used for the wrong reasons.
I do not trust in that kind of technology, and there are some biblical principles that comes into play but i will not mention them in this blog
1. The article is about the history of computers, and what they have evolved into. It goes into multiple ideas and concepts that may be available in the near future.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2 Some pros to having a computer that reads your mind is you probably have the computer perform actions as fast as you can think of something.
ReplyDelete2)The Pros of a computer that can read your mind is that your computer can help you do stuff.
ReplyDelete2.
Decepticons roll out!
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.The pros would be how you could extramy easily control things on your computer and input data with your mind, cons would be that the computer would know every thing in your mind, which is not something anyone wants.
3. I think a computer that could read minds would be a huge step in technological advancements, but intrusion of privacy is a bit much for me
1.This article describes the trends in the advancements in technology and uses them to predict future technology, tying in his own research in neurotransmitters in his prediction.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2.
1. The article is about controlling computer with your mind using open source software.
ReplyDelete2. Far easier to visualize objects and but also alot of money upfront to use said software.
3. Just matters how its used.
1) The article talks about the advancement in computer technology over the years, it talks about how the first computers were super expensive and were locked inside the room, and only certain group of people were able to use it.
ReplyDelete2) Pros would be that its a advancement in computer technology and you can get more accurate results if computer could read your mind, it might also be used by government agencies such as CIA's and FBI's to track down any threats.
ReplyDelete2. The cons for me is that it could be easier for people to get into others privacy, a pro could be that it could be easier for people in need to use computers.
3. I think it would be bad for computes to read your mind because hackers could hack into your computer and release your private information also information that could be in your mind.
1. This is a article that can process what your brain is thinking and understands whats going on in your brain
ReplyDelete2. The pros are that is can be more human like having the process to read minds and then take that information and use that thinking to acted like a human, the cons are that this will go wrong and robots will hide as humans and then kill us all. :)
3. I would want to read my mind so it can help builds things in my way the way i see things and what I want to do with things like building a house, it can see what a house looks like to me.
1. This article is about making computers simpler to use so simple that we don't even have to physically move to do something. Just like in Wall-e.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2) The pros of a computer like this is that developing games will be much easier and faster, however the cons are of course that the computer will be able to read your thoughts and invade privacy.
ReplyDelete2.
1. It is about the evolution of technology and computers over the past 70 years.
ReplyDelete2. Pros consist of people who cannot talk now have the ability to talk. The cons can be that no one is safe with their own private thoughts.
3. It depends. If I have control over when my mind is read, then yes, I am fine with that. If I do not, then obviously no.
1.This article is about the possibilities of human interaction with computers and the history that we have had with computers.
ReplyDelete2. the pros are that it would do what you want and you didn't need to say anything at all. the cons would be that it could become sentient and try to kill you.
3.I would not like it because i appreciate my privacy.
1) This article is about advanced interactions with technology and computers. It talks specifically about neural interfaces, where a computer directly reads the users mind and does what they are thinking, for example playing a Youtube video when the user thinks go.
ReplyDelete2) The pros is a massive advancement in the interfacing systems in computers, as it allows for direct control over everything a computer does, potentially revolutionizing the video gaming industry. The cons are that it poses a massive privacy breach as your thought can now be read no matter what they are.
3) I feel like it would be a really cool thing for video games but I would only do it if I was 100% sure that my privacy would still exist.

ReplyDelete1) This article talks about how interacting with computers will change and how computers could help people by reading minds.
2. If a computer can read your mind, then you can use it to remember that fact for the history test you have tomorrow. The downsides to this is that anyone could read your mind and they could use your own thoughts against you. Also, sometimes we remember things the incorrectly
3. I would not like a computer that could read someone's thoughts, because it is an invasion of privacy. Also people could use your own thoughts against
ReplyDelete1.)The article describes a world of 3D and the future of technology and how the environment around us will change.

ReplyDelete2) The pros on a computer that can read your mind is that you can easily remember things you forgot during the past years and can help you to see when you had a problem that grew.

ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2. the pro is the computer will know everything about you and put your ideas into data. the con about this computer is it will know everything about you even your secrets
3. i don't like that because its my private thoughts and i would really like if it wouldnt read my read
1.) The article was basically describing the coming of computers that can actually function based on the user’s thoughts, and also went in depth on certain leaps that technology has taken, and how those changes made doing different things easier, which also went to show why this kind of technology is a possibility in the not too distant future.
ReplyDelete2.) One of the pros I can think of with mind reading tech would be that it would make doing certain tasks in the computer impossibly easy, just think it and it’s done.
ReplyDelete2.) A pro would be its ease of use and ability to put all of your thoughts into the computer.
ReplyDelete2.
ReplyDelete2. Pros: Faster control
More responsive
Can be used for prosthetic
Reading books fast
Cons: Government mind reading
Not enough going outside.
3. That makes me happy. Do not worry if the computer took over the world it would require a program that would take longer than a lifetime to make even with this control. I am not to worried. I think it expands opportunity.

I know that there could be some cool implications for this technology but I personally couldn’t get over the invasion of privacy that I believe could occur. I would not give that up just for the potential conveniences of faster computer interaction. That being said, I would love to see this technology develop and the many ways that it could be used.
