This game mixes it up. The real-world mechanic would be a more expanded game where people can interact and help each other in the game. The game is released in a beta condition which, in my opinion, doesn’t have enough features to make it exciting and fun. Also, barely a week after the release, there were already reports of people getting injured, breaking the law, and other related incidents, all of which happened while people were glued to their phone playing Pokemon GO. Overall, a lack of features, disclaimers, and actually tested features at release day makes it much worse than any other Pokemon game in its current state.

Once you get to around level 15 progress starts slowing down considerably and there’s not that much reason to keep playing. Gyms are very easy to get and also very easy to lose to other people, so there’s not that much reason to go for them. They made the game harder to catch and find Pokemon, which makes it take longer for the lower levels but also exponentially increased how hard it is to play at the higher levels. The older non-augmented reality games seemed like completed games, but Pokemon Go feels more like a beta-or alpha- game, which is what it kind of is. Testing the waters for later augmented reality games.

Sorry, had to put that one in there) because you don't have a console to play it on. You actually have to walk around to catch pokemon that are in real world locations that are connected to their type.
3. In my opinion it is not better because it has the most flaws. For example, it has gotten a bit boring catching the same pokemon over and over again. (It would be cool to be able to get all 8 Eevee evolutions so that it has more of a variety of pokemon types). It is also the buggiest and most server filled game. I personally enjoy Pokemon GO so don't think I hate it.

One thing that is really annoying is that if you live in a city, you get ALL the Pukinmin. But when you live in a more rural or suburban area all you get are rattatas pidgeys and zubats.

3.) I like the app because i am able to interact with my surroundings in a way of VR. This also makes the Pokemon community participate with each other and have fun playing the game. I don’t like how there are some players who say their team is best when there is no benefits yet to the teams.

It is a free to play game, meaning the game costs no money to play but you can buy stuff in game. There are also things called "Poke Stops", a poke stop is a location where you go to get supplies for the game the supplies are usually Pokeballs and Razz Berries. It also involves you having to leave your house so you can get Pokeballs and so you can catch many Pokemon. There are also gyms you can take over with your Pokemon that you have caught and trained, and if you take over the gym you get some items when people try to take it over.

In the other versions you just controlled a character and played through the story with the Pokemon that you have caught you would also fight Team Rocket. But in Pokemon GO there is no story mode and there is not a team you have to fight. Pokemon GO also has GPS tracking so it knows where you are so it can show Pokestops and Pokemon near you so you can go collect the items and catch the Pokemon.
3. Personally I think this version is better because I like the concept of going outside and trading with real people, I also really like the virtual Pokemon that you can catch they are really cool. But there are also some disadvantages in Pokemon GO that the other versions did not have, they include: No story mode, no legendary Pokemon, and does not have very many things you can do besides catch Pokemon and take gyms.Pokemon GO's play style does force you to go outside and walk to be able to find any Pokemon but you can also put lures down and Pokemon will come to you.

3. I have played both the original Pokemon games and Pokemon GO, and personally prefer the older games much more. Pokemon GO is built on people only playing it for the hype, as other people are playing it, but adds only the first generation of Pokemon, and no access to battling other players which is a main characteristic of the game. It also adds the danger, as people have almost died from the game already, without even a year passing of its existence.

No it is not better because you have to guess where the Pokemon are instead of being able to find them really quickly. But at the same time it is better because people won't have the possibility of getting kidnapped by people.

The game is simple in this opening stage, only using the first 151 from the Kanto region in the game's world, and without legendary Pokemon at that, but the game will be constantly updated according to the developers.
3. I can't even say whether or not the game is "better" or not. It's just too different compared to other games in the franchise. It's certainly much more aesthetic than the other games... by that I mean, it's based more on an idea that runs throughout the fanbase--the idea of stepping out your front door into the otherwise plain world, and suddenly finding the fantastical creatures that you've loved since childhood.
4. The game was created by a group called Niantic Labs, and is based on their previous successful creation, Ingress. 3. In my opinion, this game is too lacking to better the original games. The mechanics good for a mobile app and to get people outside and explore, but you just can't puts as many hours into this game compared to the originals. Pokemon GO forces a player to go outside and get some exercise in order to progress in the game. The battle system is completely different than the regular Pokemon games as there is only two possible attacks per Pokemon with a dodge mechanic rather than the turn-based strategy of most preceding games. Battles only take place at gyms rather than the random encounters of other games. There is no trading in Pokemon GO, a main aspect of other games. The game is completely different in terms of game mechanics and the overall experience.
3. At first, my opinion would be high for the game. I have personally gotten extremely bored with the main-series Pokemon games just because of the repetition of tropes within each game. Whenever I play the newest main-series Pokemon game I almost feel like I am doing the exact same thing as the last game. Literally every game feels the exact game over and over again. This game mixes it up. The real-world mechanic would be a more expanded game where people can interact and help each other in the game. Creating a community of people Encouraging people to go outside. The whole idea just seems amazing. Until they decide to remove mass amounts of features from the previous games and basically turn it into the equivalent of baseball trading cards, where you can’t trade them. The game is released in a beta condition which, in my opinion, doesn’t have enough features to make it exciting and fun. Sure they have plans for more updates including Trainer battles, Trading, and more Pokemon, but I don’t think the current release of the game is much fun at all. Barely any strategy and just mindless collection aside from the gyms. Also, barely a week after the release, there were already reports of people getting injured, breaking the law, and other related incidents, all of which happened while people were glued to their phone playing Pokemon GO. The game feels like a survey of the people and what they will do to get digital Pokemon. Overall, a lack of features, disclaimers, and actually tested features at release day makes it much worse than any other Pokemon game in its current state.
4. The game basically asks the player to allow the game access to their gps tracking on their phone and goes off of there. The developers have programmed the game to locate specified landmarks where either poke-stops or gyms are placed. The game will also survey your location and choose Pokemon based on the average climate or general observations about where you live. Certain types of Pokemon will only appear in more urban areas, lakes, deserts, forests, or snowy areas. Technically this makes it very unfair for certain people at release, suburban areas have very few Pokemon, gyms, or poke-stops. Some areas can have mass amounts of Pokemon while others can have very little. A little unfair for some people. The game is programmed to focus around constantly tracking the player’s location and only allowing certain actions with poke-stops or gyms when the player is within a certain radius of those locations. Pokemon can only be captured if the player is close enough to see them on the map. People can also use the their phone camera to see the Pokemon in a real world backdrop. Centered around the GPS tracking idea with things programmed into the real world map for people to find.

3. In my personal opinion it is not better than the previous Pokemon games. In the normal Pokemon games you can fight other trainers and trade Pokemon. You can't any of that in the current version of Pokemon Go, but can say it is fun. Actually looking for Pokemon in real life is enjoyable and fun. Pokemon Go has the opportunity to be better, but is missing a lot of features such as battles that pushes it back.

3. It is better or worse depending on what you look for in a game. If look for multiplayer gameplay, technological innovation, or exploration games then this game is certainly better. However, if you look for a good narrative, traditional gameplay, and interactive characters, Pokemon Go is not going to be for you. Also, if you are not fond of bugs and crashes, then I would recommend the older Pokemon versions. They are certainly more reliable.

ReplyDelete2. To be honest, It's not that much different because of the fact that one of the point of older generation Pokemon games encourages people to go outside, to trade and battle with people. The only difference that I can think of is that Pokemon GO just takes this point to a whole another level by using Augmented Reality technology to play outside often than in the old games.
3. Well, It's really hard to say because they released Pokemon GO as an incomplete version. Version .29 is the first version that they released. So it can get better. But if I really have to be honest here, The older versions are better; just frankly speaking, the number of the old games compared to Pokemon GO is just far too superior and feels more satisfying to play. But Pokemon GO has the potential to surpass that.

The newer version of pokemon does not have a story in it. Also you throw the pokeball yourself without it automatically being thrown. Also this is happening on your phone and not on your handheld.

Augmented reality is used in Pokemon go. It is where you combine physical and virtual worlds. One amazing example that I want is the Microsoft hololens. It is one of the coolest things that does the same thing.
