1.) The comparison with the GoPro 4 Hero and the Sony 4K is that the GoPro 4 Hero is alot smaller, and it can provide light weight and still get the 4K resolution it needs aside from the Sony 4K.
2.) I would honestly purchase the GoPro 4 Hero because people can't have the Sony 4K on top of their heads without some serious weight problems with the camera. It costs the same as the 4K and the GoPro 4 Hero is also waterproof. Better purchase than a Sony 4K.
I can definitely understand the weight argument against the Sony 4K. I used the GoPro Hero Gen 2 last winter snowboarding on top of my helmet and it definitely felt top heavy and weird. However, after you put on the waterproof case on both the GoPro and the Sony 4K, they are very similar.
1.They are literally the same technology the only difference is the way that they are designed. They are both mountable cameras useful for taking action videos. Such as going surfing, skydiving or any other outdoor high octane activity. Though the gopro looks like it would be better for mounting it on a helmet 2. I would get the Go Pro simply for the fact that A. it looks better and B. these guys have been making these cameras for years so they are a little more trustworthy. Sony, from what i can tell is simply making a businesses maneuver and jumping on to the bandwagon
1. Both the GoPro Hero 4 and Sony 4K can record in 60fps in 4K video, are water proof and built for action. The GoPro however cannot record 4K in 60fps, but the Sony 4K can. This is the only difference that caught my eye, mainly because it was such a obvious difference. 2. So the reason why I would pick the Sony 4K would only be because it can record 4K video in 60 fps, when the GoPro can't.
Neither the Sony Camera or the GoPro can record 4k at 60fps. In the first sentence you said that both can, then you said that the GoPro cannot. I don't think you even opened up the articles.
1. The GoPro Hero 4 seems to be smaller than the sony 4k and has a lot more attachments to make it easier to passively record things. It seems like the GoPro would be better for recording activities especially with the app and controls, but the Sony4k looks to be better with just recording things in general. 2. I would buy the GoPro Hero 4 because I have a lot more experience with GoPro's and have had no complaints about the Hero 3
I don't think anyone actually understood the real-world differences between these cameras more than you. The GoPro is be better for recording sports. While, the Sony 4K is better for general usage,
1. The GoPro is a 3.1oz, 4K resolution camera that is capable of night photos and timelapse videos. It's extremely portable and is used most often for action shots, and POVs. The Sony 4K is a 4.02 oz (including supplied battery), 4K resolution camera that is made "for challenging shoots." This basically means that it is marketing itself as a better version of the GoPro, but they are virtually the same aside from weight.
2. I would buy a GoPro because I just like it's design better. It's portable and actually seems to be made "for challenging shoots".
1) The GoPro Hero 4 looks a lot better than the Sony 4K camera. Plus it's much more convenient to have than the Sony 4K. The GoPro Hero 4 has amassed many new features to capture every single situation. The Sony 4K doesn't have nearly as many features as the GoPro Hero 4. For example, the GoPro Hero 4 has 4k quality and extremely waterproof. Not only does it have those features but it has bluetooth, wifi, and the ability to capture things in the nighttime.
2) If I had to buy one of them it'd have to be the GoPro Hero 4 because it appears to be vastly superior to the Sony 4K.
You said that the Sony 4K does not have as many features as the GoPro, such as being waterproof and 4K Video. However, the Sony 4K can do BOTH of those. I don't think you spent any time reading the articles if, at all.
1. Both the cameras record in 4K resolution, Wi-Fi capability and have a Slo-Mo option for those. However, the Sony Camera has wind noise reduction, a Zeiss camera lens, and a smaller body that could even fit under a skateboard. The GoPro has its own studio app, to create your own styled videos on the go. Also, they both pack a wide angle lens and burst shooting mode, for better shots
2. Personally I would buy the GoPro as I personally prefer that there are a large amount of accessories that you can use with the camera. Because who wouldn't want to see their doge's prospective of the doggy world?
1. a) The GoPro Black is the latest and greatest version of the crowd-funding darling from a few years ago, which now features 4K filming capability at 30 frames per second, and is able to film in slow motion at a top speed of 240 frames per second. b) Sony's X1000VR is their latest 4K camera, and potentially their answer to the GoPro. One of the biggest points they push is how durable it is; not only can it resist water and sand, but it can survive drops, dives of up to 60 meters underwater, and temperatures of -10 degrees centigrade.
2. Personally, I would choose the GoPro over the Sony camera. The GoPro has a significantly smaller form factor than the Sony, and it comes with a 32GB SD card included (whereas the Sony requires the user to buy their own SD card), as well as attachment straps. In addition, the GoPro is able to record in a much wider range of resolutions than Sony's camera, and at much higher framerates.
The GoPro cannot record at a wider resolutions than the Sony camera. In a matter of fact, they offer almost exactly the same resolution options. The only option that the Sony lacks is 1440p, but you would want to record at 4k anyways and downsample because 1440p displays that run at 80fps are not common at all.
1. Compare and contrast the two cameras. (Provide full details of each camera) Both the cameras are very similar in build and features. Both can record at very similar framerates and resolutions. Both have waterproof cases and mounting options. The main difference is the use-case scenarios for the cameras. But, the GoPro has more mounting options that are currently on the market.
As far as the technical specifications go, that about exhausts the list of differences between the cameras. All the rest of the discrepancies are inconsequential. For example, the GoPro by itself is lighter than the Sony. However, once the waterproof case is added to both cameras, they weigh about the same. Both cameras are WiFi enabled. However, this feature is not very useful for anything but multirotor useage.
2. Which camera would you purchase and why? (Give full explanation) One of the differences between the cameras that nobody else noted was the size of the lense. The lense on the Sony Camera is much longer and can have a wider effective aperture. This means that the image will be slightly less distorted and have a better zoom quality. Also, do to the aperture of the Sony Camera, it will do better in low-light scenarios. Many people think that the GoPro is better because the color correction that the GoPro software does makes it look better. However, if you compare effectively color corrected footage between the cameras, the Sony will be look more realistic. Long story short, the devices’ difference is almost inconsequential. If you already own hardware for one of the devices, just go with that one. However, if you want to have the best camera and are willing to run it through some basic color correction software, get the Sony 4K.
1. The GoPro has less curvature but its color capture and stabilization aren't the best. While the Sony 4K has more of a curve it has a much higher range of colors it can capture and has great stability. 2. I would choose the Sony 4K because the picture is more like if you were seeing it in person.
1. 1.GoPro super slow motion at 240 frames per second high-resolution 4K30 2.7K60 video combines with 1080p120 and 720p240 slow motion Waterproof to 131’ (40m) with 12MP photos at 30 frames per second and improved audio 2.Sony 4K 4K picture quality 100 Mbps/4K, 50 Mbps/Full HD2 recording Panoramic 170° viewing angle
2. I would prefer to get the GoPro because of the uses i would use these cameras for. I would use it for bombing hills, skating, and recording small tasks that i can upload or use for future reference. The GoPro is more for people that need both hands and still have mobillity.
1. GoPro has long been one of the best action-camera companies out there. However, Sony has recently come out with their 4k Action-Cam, giving GoPro a run for their money. Both camera costs the same amount, $500. Right off the bat, they have pretty equal stats- both can shoot 4k, and both have quite decent fps. However, the GoPro camera has slightly better color balance- along with a better lens. 2. I'd probably purchase the GoPro. Since both cameras are the same price, I would not have to spend additional money purchasing it- and from what I have seen, the GoPro records better video overall. The lens does not warp the picture, unlike the Sony camera, and I am more familiar with the GoPro interface.
1) There are very few differences between the two cameras. The Go Pro Shoots 30 fps videos at 4k, 60 fps at 2.7k, 120 fps at 1080, and 240 fps at 720. The Sony 4k camera is the same. The price is $499.99 for the Go Pro hero 4 and $499.99 for the Sony 4k. The only real difference is that the Go Pro is waterproof up to 131 feet, while the Sony camera is waterproof only up to ~33 feet. 2) I would go with the Go Pro Hero 4 because A) It looks nicer and B) it looks nicer and less washed out in the video comparing the two.
1. The two devices, the GoPro HERO4 and the Sony Sports Camera, are virtually the exact same device. Both have a 4K picture quality, and can shoot up to 30 frames per second. The cameras actually cost the exact same amount as well, despite one being a brand name. Each camera cost $499.99 even when one is a Sony and one is a GoPro. It’s interesting to see two companies doing something like this, where neither of them would even try to change their price or offer any new features to try and outsell the competition. 2. Personally I would go for the GoPro HERO4, mainly for the reason the company is known for making cameras to work for these kind of activities. I feel like they are a more trustworthy company in respect that they know what they’re doing. Sony I feel is just jumping on the bandwagon and trying to see what they can pump out. I don’t think the Sony camera would be any worse, but I feel a little more security when it comes to the GoPro.
1. The two cameras are very similar. They include similar features, spanning 4k recording, wifi functionality, and slow motion recordings. The sony is smaller and ligher but with very similar video quality as well as wind noise reduction. Both of the cameras have similar wide lense angles, and shooting modes.
2. I would choose the gopro, simply because I prefer the color saturation it provides. And I also prefer it's aesthetic and build quality.
1.)The two devices are very alike as they can both shoot in 4k 30fps and they cost the same at $499.99 both companies are doing the same thing without there being a price different due to brand and they have the same features so there really isn't a difference in things they can do.
2.)I would want the GoPro HERO4 because of how much experience the company has with these kind of cameras and I have more faith in them than Sony who hasn't really done much in the field of technology and GoPro has tons of hours proving its effectiveness.
