  1. 1. This article is about the recent Google logo change, and the two sides of the argument whether it's good or bad. On one side, some people in logo design think that it can appeal to a lot more people in its simplicity, it's easily scale-able, and it keeps up with the times. On the other side, others in logo design believe that inoffensiveness is not enough to make someone remember a design; it wasn't designed by a creative hand, it was designed by a committee.

    2. Personally, I don't love it, I don't hate it, I am completely indifferent on this front. There's nothing that really jumps out at me about Google's new logo, and that can be taken as a good or bad thing. The good part is that the company's logo might not be what makes it stand out so much, but the bad part is that the logo itself isn't doing enough to make you, as a consumer, remember the name.

    3. I used to be kind of confused about companies changing their logos when I was younger, but now, I realize its purpose; companies alter their logos in some significant way so that they can 1) stay with the times and what's popular in logo design, and 2) stand out from their competitors if all of their logos get a bit same-y.

  2. 1. This published content is referring to googles choice to make a change to its icon. But with every change there are going to be criticism and support.
    2. I like change but i feel as if this new logo is too simply and could be more iconic and representative of what google stands for or what it is. It is not a bad logo by any means. It just is more disappointing that one of the biggest/ well known companies comes out with something that just meets the bar or just feels generic. My side of the argument is that it is just too generic for what it represents so im not to big of a fan of its new change.
    3. Companies changing their icons is refreshing if they do it right. I do believe that it is important for companies to do this but it has to ether be unique or represent the presence of that company in everyday life.

  3. This article is about the new google logo. It was designed to look more friendly, warm, and almost childish. It reminds me how Lego’s logo has evolved over the years into a simpler, minimalistic design. I think this is where most designs are heading towards. The minimalistic design standard has been gaining popularity steadily the last 5 years. This has been especially evident in infographics that google has released. I like the new logo and think it is just catching up with the design methods that have been catching on for a while now. It is good for businesses to change their logos to a limited extent (unless it is a total rebrand) as long as it is still recognizable.

  4. 1. This article is about the logo change that Google did recently, creating a more colorful and playful logo for their company. The logo change was due to the fact that Google wishes to be able to have a clean logo that could easily be stretched- or shrunk depending on what platform you’re using Google services on. Some people believe it’s a nice change, others don’t really care, and some dislike the small- but big change completely.

    2. I like the change I think it’s a more creative approach on their logo, which continues throughout the creative aspects that you know of Google today. Most people know what Google is today, so they don’t really need a change in their icon for people to remember their name. I personally don’t mind as long as Google doesn’t go away, as a logo isn’t everything, but it can be helpful for people to remember who you are and what you’re about.

    3. Sometimes it’s not such a good idea to change a logo as it can be confusing for the consumer, but I believe a logo shouldn’t stay the same forever, as some things need a quick refresh now and then.

  5. 1) This article is about the new changes made to the Google logo making it more colorful and friendly to the public. They made this change because they wanted an easy to stretch or shrink the logo around for each type of platform. The change is both widely adored and scorned.

    2) I personally have no opinion on the change of the logo despite seeing it for so many years. If I had to choose between liking and disliking, I'd say I like it for the most part. Google can do what they want as long as I can keep using the search engine.

    3) Some say the change is confusing for some consumers. However change is necessary for growth and this is a step towards just that and I think it's a wise choice.

  6. 1.The article goes over googles recent business maneuver is they changed there logo.Much controversy has sparked as a result. Many people find the new logo to be somewhat ugly but others like the change.
2.I thinks it is an irrelevant change. It does look silly but it is hardly worth all the effort going into it. Countless people have wasted hours upon hours talking about a mere logo.
    3. It is a good change of pace if it is executed properly. It gives the company a refresher

  7. 1. The article is about Google's recent change to its logo and how there is controversy about it whether it's a love/hate and how it seems boring or that it's a great change. The change was made for mobile use .

    2. I really have no opinion I mean they changed their logo nothing extraordinary the changes that came with it are going to be good but I really could care less about how the new logo looks.

    3. It is a good idea because it means you're updating and that's always good but there are things you need to keep in mind with that don't change the logo completely and make it unrecognizable the point of a logo is for people to remember it if you keep changing the letters or the whole layout then you lose recognizability and that leads to less people remembering.

  8. 1. The article is all about how Google has once again changed their logo, not just on their website, but everywhere. Some people like it, others don't. The article covers both sides and what the strategy of changing it affected things overall.

    2. I personally like the new logo. It looks cleaner and more modern. The old logo looked so old to me, because I gotten used to seeing it since, well, my family first owned a computer back in the 90's. It's just been around so long, that it feels old and outdated. The new design looks more modern to fit with our generation.

    3. I feel like it's a good thing for companies to change their logos, but nothing so drastic to where it's unrecognizable. When I see a company's new logo, it almost makes me feel like, hey they're trying new things, lets see what they have to offer. So if McDonalds took their GIANT M for example, and cleaned it up, it almost makes it seem like the company is a new product and they have lot to offer in the modern age. But hey, that's just a theory, a GAME THEORY.

  9. 1. Jessica Goldstein wrote an article titled, "Love/Hate: Design Experts Debate The New Google Logo." This article is about the discussion of whether the new Google Logo was a good idea or not.

    2. Personally I do not like the new logo, it reminds me of a logo for a business I cannot remember. But I remember not liking that Company for whatever reason.

    3. It is nice to change your logo occasionally with a business, this keeps things fresh and lets your customers know you're not outdated. But changing the logo TOO much can cause some customers to get upset, so the logo should be modern but not completely different.

  10. 1. This article is about Google changing their logo and expert's opinion about it. It has good reasoning about both sides of opinion of the new logo that points both ways.
2.I like the new logo it is nice and simple and clean which allows for google to change the colors and background with out having a crazy change. It is similar to my opinion about are gentech logo.
3.I cant say it was a good thing for them to change their logo because I think their old logo could last for the next 30 years before it would need a update but it is not a bad update.

  11. 1. This article is about how Google changed their logo again and the design aspects of it. They wanted to make a logo that prompts emotions from people instead of just a brand name. The designers made it more comforting to look at as well as keeping all of what makes Google, Google. Less rigid lines and more brighter colors, as well as rounder edges make the the logo what it is now.

    2. I personally love the new logo for its simplicity and colorfulness.

    3. I think it's good that businesses change their logos from time to time. It keeps things fresh as well as showing the world how the business has changed through the new logo.

  12. 1) This article is about Google's new logo and what they desired it to mean. They tried to create something memorable, but also versatile, able to change the color scheme for specific situations without losing the concept of it being the Google logo. They made a much more defined logo with brighter colors.

    2) Personally, I don't like the new logo. I feel like Google (as well as a lot of other companies) are making they're logos too simple. They look so simple to me that they seem childish.

    3) I think it is good for businesses to change their logo as it provides freshness and shows that the company is about the future, not the past. They have to be careful, however, not to change too frequently and to keep the same general idea for each redesign.

  13. 1. This article is about the new Google logo and its pros and cons. There is a ton of controversy about the new Google logo and its design, and the article attempts to sum up some of the main arguments. These include its childish, personable property, which is probably the most unique part of the design.
    2. I believe that the new Google logo is simply the way that companies are progressing. Flat, clean, and serif logos are the new trend- as the web becomes a much slimmer, cleaner tool, also will companies that revolve around it. I don't really have an opinion on it, it still has the same functionality as the old logo- and that's truthfully all that really matters with me.
    3. I definitely believe that logo updates are really important, and great to do. I am more drawn to the cleaner design trend of newer logos... it's definitely a good thing in my opinion.

  14. 1. The article is about Google’s adoption of a new logo. The new logo is flat, simple, and crisp. The article includes a debate about whether the new logo is nice or horrible.
    2. I hate the new logo. A post on iFunny compared it to spongebob. It showed a picture of the old logo with a picture of spongebob, and a picture of the new logo and a picture of spongebob during that episode when he became “normal,” and lost his square-ness and spots and all his character. This is a perfect comparison. The new logo makes me think of GLaDOS who has an intentionally friendly voice manufactured by a corporate giant that is actually horribly corrupt. In other words, the new logo doesn’t speak with friendliness to me, it speaks like a pathetic mask to hide some obvious evil that Google has yet to reveal.
    3. Is it good for businesses to change their logos? Well of course, if they have a bad logo. If their logo involves a swastika or green and purple together, they should change it immediately. They should not follow after Google and change to that creepy sans serif style.

    2. 1. This article is about Google’s recent logo change to a more modern, flat logo with a different font. It covers several designer’s opinions of the current, and past logos. While also covering the evolution of the iconic logo. What the logo represents, or at least attempts to, is also covered throughout the article.

      2. I have a mixed opinions about the new logo. I like how the logos are flat, however I do not much like the new font and color scheme. The logo, to me at least, has the same color scheme of a kindergarten classroom. And I really just don’t like the way the “G” looks. On the positive end, I think it look much more modern with it’s “flat” design.

      3. I generally do not think it is good for companies to change their logo because users start to identify that company, with all of the good and the bad, with that logo. When it is changed, sometimes that identity is destroyed. It is kind of like it is a whole different company when the expectations are reset.

  15. 1.) This article is about Google's recent change in their Logo and how people are reacting to it and divided into two sides on whether it's a good or bad change.

2.) I personally don't care. Google's recent change doesn't bother me because I can still search things up. People are so scared of change but the truth is you can't live in the past, things change. Get over it.

3.) Like I said, things change. It's a good thing to change because it teaches people in a subconscious way not to get too attached to things because they change.

  16. 1. This article is about designers debating about whether the new Google logo is good or not. Honestly I wouldn't understand how people can debate or argue over such a small change in a logo.
    2. I couldn't care less. "OMG Google changed their logo!! It looks so bad! I can't even use google anymore it's so bad!!! xD xD xD"(exaggeration of course) I feel people over-exaggerate too much over such a small and simple change. Ok, the logo changed, so what? It doesn't change that Google is still the best search engine that most internet surfers use.
    3. Yea sure it is. Leaving a logo for a huge company stagnant and on a single thing for an extended period of time just seems lazy. But it really doesn't have to be that often, nor put to being such a big deal. It's a simple logo change. They didn't change the set-up. It's like me changing my essay's font from Arial to Times New Roman. Not a big difference at all.

  18. 1. In this article two sides are arguing about whether Googles new logo is good or bad. Some hate that's its not creative enough and some like how simple and easy the logo is.

    2. I don't hate the logo and i don't like it, but i do feel that the new change isn't as important as people are making it out to be. I could care a less about the new change, in my mind simple is better but others obviously have their opinions.

    3. I think it is good for businesses to change their logo depending on what they change it to. Like it could be more creative and bring in more customers, making their company more popular in the area or in the country depending on the company.

  20. 1. With Google changing its logo, every media source on the planet feels the need to cover it. This particular article address both the good and the bad.

    2. I don't really have a strong opinion on the matter, but I do think it looks very clean and colorful. It has almost a childish/fun look in comparison to its older forms.
    3. I think this is very good for Google because it further increases attention to the company with all of this media coverage. I'd imagine it is going to take a lot of work replace all of their old merchandise with the new logo, but that would never be a problem for Google,
