Really? Consoles? Are you trying to start a flame war?
Well, objectively speaking it is hard to give direct comparisons on the hardware of the two consoles because they all use nonstandardized and custom chips that interact in different ways that similar architecture would run on a modular desktop. One way that you could try and compare the two systems is by running two games that are both ports on each system and see what gets a better framerate, but this would run into several issues. First of all, not all ports are equal. One port may be better optimised than another. Secondly, console games rarely have adjustable graphics settings because they are optimised for one specific hardware set and any deviations from standard settings would be hazardous and likely end up with a poor frame rate. If you tried to compare systems like this, you would not be comparing apples to apples. I suppose you could try and run some sort of speed test with something that benchmarks gpu and cpu performance, but that rarely reflects real world results. Long story short, there is no way to objectively compare hardware of games. So, I suppose you could compare the systems not but what is similar, but how they are different. You could start with various peripheral differences such as the xbox kinect and other gimmicks. But, the luster of these fade very quickly once you realize that they are clunky pieces of garbage and no one actually uses them on a normal basis except for trolling friends by walking into the room and saying, “Xbox off, yes” as soon as you enter. The only real difference that anyone cares about is exclusives. Because manufacturers want to sell more consoles, they strike deals with companies to make their game exclusive to one platform. This forces people who want to play a specific game to acquire the given platform. Some famous examples of this are Forza Motorsport for the Xbox and Journey for Playstation. So, if you for some reason want to buy a console, it is entirely up to the exclusive titles you want to play. There is not any other objective difference between the two.
....Or you could not be a console peasant and build a PC http://i.imgur.com/wscLiCX.png http://weknowmemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/glorious-pc-gaming-master-race-2.jpg
1. They are both ridiculously overpriced at like what 400 dollars. Xbox One is a baby to the cheaper and better Xbox 360. The people at Xbox want people to spend more money than what they should. So Xbox gives all the halo games a make over and puts a price of 60 dollars for all of them. But wait it gets worse all those Xbox 360 people have to get Xbox ones to play the redone halo games besides Halo CE. I don't know what to say about the PS4 except that its overpriced and it doesn't require money to play online and yes PS+ is nice but not needed. To play online on Xbox you need to play at least $60 a year. Both consoles are also very far behind PC hardware wise go look for yourself it's very sad.
2. I guess that PS4's online is free.
3. . I would choose the PS4 because I could sell it for the most money. (165 words)
1.) I myself am not a console peasant because I am PC royalty. Nonetheless, these two consoles are short of decent. They offer decent graphics with overpriced and vie each other over everything. The PS4 is better than the Xbox one for obvious reasons. PlayStation doesn't make you have to pay 60 dollars a year to play online, not to mention most games people play are online. Other from that these two are meant for peasants who cannot afford a PC and decide they don't want to enjoy their gaming experience as much.
2.) The fact that you don't have to pay for online for PlayStation is nice. The only thing cool about the Xbox one is how it looks, seriously.
3.) PS4 because I want to see how well it collects dust.
1. The only real difference between the consoles performance wise is the the PS4 has the higher resolution while the Xbox runs the games more successfully, better frames and such. None of that really matters though the only real difference is the exclusive games, the controller, the UI and online play. It used to be that Xbox ruled the market in exclusive games but now PlayStation is catching up pretty fast with games like Definitely Not Dark Souls Bloodborne and... That's it really. But hey it's still better than what Xbox has going for it with Sunset Nobody Played You and Titanhollow. The best thing about the Xbox One exclusives are old Halo games that were already out on the 360, granted those old Halo games are damn good and is probably where I've spent most of my time on the One. I'm going to say this ones a draw for now. Moving onto the controllers I have to say its hands down the Xbox controller. Its way more comfortable and makes more sense than the PS4 controller which I can never seem to get comfortable with. It feels clunky and out of place. So Xbox wins that one (pun not intended). As for the UI I haven't spent enough time to know if the PS4's is that good but I do know it at least works unlike the Xbox's interface which is over complicated and completely broken and downright unresponsive at times. So that goes to PlayStation. Lastly online play: yeah you have to pay for a gold account on Xbox but honestly its so much better (or at least it was in the 360 era). You are more socially integrated and the experience is just more engaging. Most people who I know that have a PS4 only use it for when they're playing alone. So this one goes to Xbox. But honestly all these consoles do is make me miss the days of the 360.
2. PS4: It's clean looking UI. Xbox: Its controller and (personally) its exclusive games.
3. The Xbox 360 because it's interface actually worked and made sense and had all the good qualities of the new consoles without the problems.
...Oh and PC master race, consoles suck or whatever...
Not sure if this is a student blog or you just randomly found an online article but do you want to start a flame war here? This blog topic would be like arguing who has the best nuclear missile cache, North Korea or Cuba? Clearly America wins in this situation as it is far superior but oh well, I need to finish with a good grade in this class.
1. Compare and contrast the playstation 4 and XBox One. Describe in detail. PS4 and XBox One has been a debate since the PS3 and the XBox 360 which has been a debate since the PS2 and XBox, everything inch of both platforms has been scrutinized and looked over twice for anything that might set the two apart. Yes the PS4 is basically a jacked up gaming computer with an OS thats locked down and yes it does run games in better detail than the XBox, however the One does have a constantly higher FPS and well thats about it, Microsoft makes you pay a monthly fee for access online which lets face it, every game is basically tailored for online. WOAH HEY CHECK IT OUT MICROSOFT HAS THE BEST EXCLUSIVE GAMES, what companies call "exclusive" *cough* not sharing/money makers *cough* but really as Louis said Microsoft's exclusive games include Sunset Overdrive and Titan fall ahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahha wait can you actually be proud of those games? People just feel nostalgic about the good 'ol day when Halo was the most popular game. Everything else just comes down to personal tastes, I personally prefer the PS4 controller but since I do not own a console I would be fine with either one. To sum up the extent of what will be everyone else's comments, consoles are overpriced both the consoles themselves and the games that you have to buy. Consoles are for peasants who are not willing to do the research with a good computer and instead just drop extra cash on a standard console.
2. What is the best feature of the playstation 4 and Xbox One? Why is that the best feature? PS4 is free online, not like computers do that? Xbox One looks cool, if only you could but a custom case for it??? Like computers.
3. Which game console would you choose and why? Describe in detail. I would never buy a console, I would rather buy a much better master race pc that I could continue to upgrade over the years instead of a standard console that you keep needing to replace every couple of years.
In short, we should have a blog about the best way to build a gaming P.C. not about which peasant console might be slightly better than the other peasant console.
1) The PlayStation and Xbox both bring a lot to the table for gaming systems. Surprisingly, they both seem to be diverging more and more in newer releases, both going after what each company thinks is coolest. Xbox seems to think people want features like plugging your cable TV into the Xbox to watch live TV from there, which is actually a really cool concept. PlayStation does not have this feature to my knowledge and appears to be completely fine without it. They seem to want to focus solely on how to make gaming more comfortable and overall better, which is apparent through their controllers and similar features. 2) The best feature of the Xbox I would have to say is how well it links to the TV. Stringing the cable tv right into the machine and having it be able to control the entire TV, effectively getting rid of clumsy remotes is a really nice addition. In terms of the PlayStation, I think their simple, sleek systems and designs are their best selling feature. The Xboxes seem to have so much unnecessary added bulk and weight, especially when comparing the remotes. 3) I would probably chose the PlayStation. I can't remember the last time I watched a show from cable, so my favorite feature from the Xbox side is immediately invalid. I feel for Hulu, Netflix, gaming; essentially everything I'd use the device for, this would be my best option.
The PlayStation 4 is much better than the xbox in a lot of ways its graphics are better as well as its ability to not be always on. it also has much better exclusive games for the system such as bloodborne while the x box one gets the masterchief collection a re-skin of previous halo games.
free online for the ps4 makes it much better as well as the fact that each month ps plus members get some very good games free.
While considering I own the ps4 Id say that Id have to go with the ps4 because its a much better console.
1. Starting off with design, the Xbox One is actually quite large. It is ten percent bigger than the XBOX 360. To be fair, neither the PS4 or the Xbox One are very portable, but the PS4 is significantly smaller and better looking. Also, the PS4 is able to run games at a slightly higher resolution than the Xbox One. 2. In my opinion, the best feature of the Xbox One is the multitasking ability. You are able to play a game while simultaneously surf the web. On the other hand, the best feature of the PS4 is the simplicity of the user interface. The user interface of the Xbox One is a little confusing and complicated. 3. I would choose the PS4 because I don't want to have to keep paying every month for Xbox Live just to play online. The PS4 is just barely more money than the Xbox One, but in the long-run, I'm sure I'd have saved money buying the PS4.
1. Gaming has soared in numbers in the last 30 years. Gaming is irresistible to every human being in the world. Two of most common and played consoles are the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. They were both released in 2013 just one week apart from each other. The PlayStation offers Sony's well known processing power that produces a better picture and visual flow than any console in history. It also serves as a better utility use. The Xbox One is known for the versatility and game support and selection.
2. With the PlayStation 4, you are able to connect and use the PS Vita. This allows you have multiple components to use and play with. The Xbox One has an additional component called the Kinetic which is a controller-less surface to control the Xbox One.
3. I am not a gamer, so I would not choose a console, but if it came down to my life, I would choose the PlayStation 4. Just because of the processing power and unlimited uses. You are able to add multiple systems together to create a super computer.
