The video interviewed two Liberty North High School inventors who made a solution to watery ketchup squirts. They describe their research to development process on the problem, and created a ketchup cap that separated the water from the ketchup. This simple design was easy enough for two young teen to make, yet high-paid business people have yet to develop.
Personally, the invention seems to not have been developed in a fashionable time. Although they created a valuable solution, companies have yet to catch the eye of these investors and their creation. Who is going to invest thousands in two young kids and ketchup?
In the 4th grade, I created a small machine that would take your toast or bread, and butter it in a few seconds. This saved time in the morning from those who cake butter on their bread. So, if I had to invent something, it would be along the lines of saving time, and maximizing efficiency.
In detail, my invention would be about the size and shape of a toaster, equipped with irons, operating machinery, and butter storage. It would take the bread out of someone’s hand, and automatically spread butter on it, while toasting it.
This video was about a couple of high school students that invented a solution to the problem of watered down ketchup using only their wits, CAD, and a 3D printer. They meticulously designed an insert for the ketchup bottle that effectively separates the oil from the ketchup.
Personally I am a fan of the design as it, if promoted properly, could become a new innovation in the condiment business. However at the same time I feel that this problem was heavily invested into without that much of a result. As fantastic as it is for this kind of ingenuity to take place, especially at the high school level, these kids are putting a lot of time and energy into things that aren't necessarily problems (you can solve this problem by simply shaking the bottle). This kind of ingenuity should be put to practical use for problems with real consequences.
My Invention would most likely be a less expensive home security system as I believe this is a problem that should be tackled quickly. In the neighborhood I live in there have been reports of a few home invasions where the culprit was able to quite easily get in and steal the possessions of the house owner without any real hindrance due to the lack of security. The reason this person did not have good home security is because home security can be rather costly and those with low incomes can't afford this, making them easier targets. I think this could be solved without the high prices security companies push for if people (me in this theoretical situation) were to invest resources into developing these products. Also because home security is a rather small industry pointed towards higher to middle income families I believe a low cost product could be very financially successful.
The video was about two seniors in high school that on a regular basis use ketchup. When ever they used the ketchup water would come out. They brainstormed and brainstormed and designed a lid that would only squirt ketchup. They 3d printed it and tested it, they ended up making it work.
Their invention was very cool. I never thought that you could get ketchup to come out of the bottle without shaking it first. For only being in high school these seniors are very motivated.
My invention would be to try to create a bottle that is biodegradable and incorporating it into large drink manufacturers.
Changing to a bottle that is biodegradable would save the millions of bottles in landfills. It would create a better future for our children and our children's children.
Give a short description of what the video was about. A fancy ketchup bottle cap 3d printed that will catch watery ketchup.
What did you think of the invention? I think they could make a quick buck off of it to sell as a marketing ploy.
What would be your invention? Describe in detail what your invention would do. I have been working on a modular suit that will gather biometric information including heart rate, bmi, sugar content, blood pressure, and more. I have also been working on a kitchen automation system that will calculate calorie intake, current stock of food and other things.
In short, this video was about two high school students making a fix to watered down ketchup. Which is really stupid. They used their "wits" to make a 3D design that separated oil from ketchup.
Although it is impressive. The whole concept of it was pretty dumb, last i checked you could fix this problem by shaking the freaking bottle for 3 seconds. Although the whole idea is pretty impressive and the work and effort put into it was impressive, i just didn't really see a point to it as much as....any thing else. Given they did work hard on it, which is recognized, its still was a waste of time.
If i could invent ANYTHING and it would work, id invent a time machine, not some stupid ketchup purifier. Although lots of the other inventions that were linked were actually HELPFUL and not purifying ketchup. If I were to invent something, i would invent some sort of mustard purify device, THAT'S WHERE THE REAL MONEY IS AT, GOD THESE MEN ARE HERO FOR INVENTING SOMETHING AS WONDERFUL AS A KETCHUP PURIFIER. No id invent some sort of application that let people nearby know how much second hand smoke they are in taking. Like some sort of beeper. My reasoning for this was when i was little, i did lots of projects about the harmfulness of cigarettes, and knowing this and watching everyone around me smoke made me concerned for my own safety. So probably just an app that would beep when smoke is at a level of which it actually effects you. BUT NO LETS BE REAL HERE, THE GINGER WITH THE KETCHUP WAS THE REAL GENIUS HERE.
These two people (well really only one because one is a ginger and therefore doesn't count as a person) are insane, because they have an unhealthy relationship with their ketchup bottles. Although I too have faced the nasty problem of watery ketchup, it's really not that big of a deal, you could shake the bottle or something similar to avoid this problem. Yes, it's cool that they did all the R&D and 3D printed it and everything yet to spend an entire year on it is kind of ridiculous, I feel as thought there are better things to study. You could say they solved a 1st world problem, it doesn't make the world a better place, it just takes water out of your ketchup.
My invention would be charging table that could be set up in the media center that would allow kids to charge their phones during lunch or during class. The case would lock their phones and they would safely be able to leave knowing their phones would be there when they returned.
It would save power and outlet space and kids would no longer need to bring their phone chargers to school and beg their teachers to allow them to use the outlets found on media carts. It would take phones out of the hands of students without them complaining about it.
1.) Two high school kids in Liberty North High School, or LNHS, like ketchup a lot and decided they like it enough to design a ketchup bottle cap which catches water which would be included with your ketchup normally. THEY LOVE KETCHUP A LOT. They build the design online and 3d printed it online and testes it out. Their design worked out perfectly. Although I thought these guys were weird people and one of them was a ginger, they solved a small problem which some people like these two took seriously. If I made an invention I would want to make a night-vision goggle set which specifically looks for Rod Stuart and Dennis Rodman. How would it work? I would steal night-vision goggles from a well protected store like Wal-mart and input the DNA of Rod Stuart and Dennis Rodman into it which will tell you where the both of them are at all times.
1) The video was about two high-schoolers that created a way for the water in ketchup to not come out when you squeeze the bottle. The point of the video is to show off high-schoolers finding new ways to tackle problems using technology. 2) The invention was a very unique and fixed a very important problem in our society. It was tearing this generation apart to not have such an invention to guide our lives in the epic struggle against the ketchup water. 3) If I had to create an invention, I would create some sort of artist tool that is an ink pen and a pencil in the same tool and is interchangeable while you use it. The invention would help those who draw and could use the pencil part to sketch, and the second you need something finalized or darkened, you would switch over to the pen and darken any area needed.
1. This video is about a ketchup purifier. Two seniors in high school who love ketchup invented a way to prevent the liquid in ketchup from coming out. These ketchup enthusiasts came up with a way to prevent the water from squirting out of the bottle and ruining your food. One of them came up with the design, the other formatted it and then 3d printed it. 2. This invention is simple, funny, and stupid. It makes me dislike the ketchup manufactories that something as simple as what these two people invented could stop a common problem with ketchup. If the invention was made by someone outside of high school, I would not be nearly as impressed. 3. I would invent the perfect comb. It would be called The Universal Comb. The comb would have different settings of wavy, curly, straight, and spiky hair. All you would have to do is get the comb slightly wet before using it. The comb would not be designed for a specific gender. It could style long and short hair in seconds.
1. the video was a bout a team of students that invented a way of stopping ketchup from getting liquid immediately. they designed and 3d printed a stopper that keeps the ketchup from spitting out the liquid layer. 2.Its a pretty cool invention however it would have some issue sin the fact that once you got to the end of the ketchup you wouldn't be able to use it because the opening would be to high up. 3.I would want to work on a wireless charging system for electronic devises. this would be large enough that it would be able to charge multiple devices throughout an area simply walk into its range connect and it would start charging your devices like phones and I-pads.
1. The video was about two students who made an invention that stopped watery ketchup from being a thing. They talked about how they had a problem, how they looked into what the solution could be, and then they made a product that solved the problem.
2. I thought the solution they came up with was really practical. I like that because it shows that simple solutions are normally they best ones. The only concern I had with it was left over ketchup. But in the video I saw that they had one with a shorter stem peace so less ketchup would be left over.
3. I would want to make a better designed battery for phones. The new battery would last longer and take less time to charge. For the most part battery technology hasn't really changed. The same basic concept of the battery has been used for ever. In fact the same desgin concept was found in the Sumerian civilization (one of the first human civilizations). The only real change batteries have gotten was a size change.
The video was about kids inventing a solution to ketchup bottles and how they leak. It was neat to see how some team could see a problem and come up with a cleaver solution. They used cool tools like CAD and the 3D printer.
The solution was simple yet elegant. It was practical and if it were made in mass then it would be fairly cheap. I think it was really cleaver and I wish I had been on a project like that.
I would want to invent a dichotomous key that is fun and easy to use. It would be a piece set that was in the shape of the parts, when the person puts it together, then there would be and a voice that said what the species was.
This video is about two guys who are very upset about the watery substance sometimes found with the initial use of ketchup. The solution I have used for years was not good enough for them, which would be simply shaking the container before use. They spent over a year designing a product to effectivly prevent the ketchup consumer from ever dealing with the liquid again.
I thought the invention was clever, but the opportunity cost seen when developing the product is far too great to justify the contraption. It solves a problem most people don't care about and can easily be solved through other, simple and free methods.
My invention would be social cars. It sounds pretty stupid, but it's an idea I've had for a long while now. I think cars should be able to talk to one another. The driver in front of you applies full braking power? Their car alerts your car, which is then able to apply 70% of braking power to avoid the collision. Without that kind of technology, the reaction time it takes to realize the car is braking combined with the time it takes to realize to what extent the car is breaking, there would almost positively be an accident. This product would solve problems like that, saving many more lives than the most sophisticated post-collision safety systems.
