From the page provided I learned that the new IPhone has bigger and better everything apparently. Increased resolution and camera quality but not changeable focus like Samsung was promoting with their new phone. Samsung's big selling point is their ability to blur out backgrounds and capture video easily.
I think the new fingerprint recognition unlock thing is pretty cool. I also wonder what would happen if your finger print was obstructed in anyway like a cut or something. How would you be able to get into the phone? The background blur in the Samsung I mentioned earlier is pretty cool. Although I don't think it should be a major selling point. Not interesting enough.
IPhone probably. I already have so much information on my apple account so if I had a choice I'd choose the IPhone.
1.) The iphone 6 and 6 plus are much larger than the iphone 5 models. That is about it except the fact that they are also flexible. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has Selective Focus which allows you to focus on what’s important by blurring the background and accentuating the main subject in defined detail. It also has Fast action focus shots you would want to use on things like sport events. They both have enhanced power usage bumped up for their last models. Both the phones are also water and dust resistant. They both are 200 dollars except the iphone 6 plus which is 300. My favorite thing about the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the fact its dust and water resistant, im my book, its a big deal. My favorite detail about the iphone 6 or 6 plus is that they are flexible, really cool. I would probably choose the iphone 6 because its an okay price and its something i'm familiar with, I don't like change.
1- The iphone 6, 6 plus, and galaxy s5 are all the talk for phones these days. But honestly the iphone is a joke. People make jokes about the new os making the iphone water proof, when the s5 actually is. The s5 has smaller details that make it better than the s4, but over all there really isnt to much of a difference then the visual change. I am definitely more of a samsung guy. My tablet is samsung, my phone is, and the smart watch im getting is samsung. But my favorite part of the iphone is that when you put it in the microwave for 30 seconds it charges fully. ;)
The iPhone 6 boasts a larger display, which on the 6 Plus includes an even higher resolution. It comes with a few new features Android has seen for years, like NFC, an included barometer, or even the small things like a powe button located now on the right. It includes a built-in health app, although with my experience it has not been extremely useful. The iPhone will also include ApplePay, of which Samsung's device has a similar Google Wallet, however is much more refined in Apple's phone. What Apple does not advertize that makes the iPhone exceed the Galaxy S5 in my opinion is their attention to detail. Samsung will whip up a phone real quick with stealth moves, keeping up on Apple's rumors and beating them to the punch as seen in Apple's rumored addition of a fingerprint scanner which shortly after popped up in the S5. Apple does take the time to perfect all it does, with a fingerprint scanner preferred by many, or a design thinner and much cleaner than a Galaxy has ever been. Their use of premium materials such as saphire crystal in the home button and camera for scratch resistance is something Samsung does not care to compete with, as they appear to mostly look at the big picture. Though the Galaxy does have a faster, quad core processor, the phone is actually slower than the iPhone, the Galaxy S5 having GeekBench preformance scores lower than even the iPhone 5. Things are much snappier on Apple's light iOS in comparison to Andoid's system, further bogged down by S Touch.
Samsung's newest flagship device, the S5, is actually not all bad. Though it doesn't feel as premium or focus on the fine details as Apple's iPhone does, the S5's focus on the big picture can be somewhat refreshing. It's no question much more can be done with a Galaxy than an iPhone running even the latest iOS. Android holds a very lose grip to their phones, allowing most features of the phone to be accessed by any app you'd like to download. Even the NFC in the S5 can be used to "bump" phones using third party apps, while Apple's NFC is strictly for ApplePay as of now. The phone has a camera of which has 16mp, much higher than Apple's 8mp camera of which hasn't been upgraded in over three years. That being said, Apple does use better lenses, which is why most photographers will still prefer an iPhone over the seemingly better S5. They load processors and memory into the phone, bringing it to a near desktop class state, which isn't seen in the iPhone. Multitasking is also much easier on an S5 than a 6 or even 6 Plus. The phone is also certified water and dust resistant, while Apple's phone is designed to protect you in case of an accident with a tested 1 minute of water resistance, however, Apple has not attempted to make it anything more than a potential get out of jail free card if you accidentally spill a drink on the phone.
Overall, I don't think anyone can really say either phone is better than the other. They aren't actually comparable in my opinion, each doing well in categories the other lacks in. They're designed for two different markets, it's more of which do you prefer than which is better. I obviously have chosen the iPhone route, as I prefer a more premium-feeling phone and love the fact it works with my iPad and Mac almost seamlessly, something I wouldn't be able to do with a Galaxy device.
the iPhone has its increased size and better camera. it also includes its more accurate finger print scanner and its apple pay in its new phone. the Samsung also boasts anew camera as well has a selective zoom feature which allows you to blur out annoying background images. it also comes equipped wit ha heart sensor.
surprisingly my new favorite feature is the enhanced power saver mode on the galaxy. on my current phone i always run out of battery when I need it and its a coll ideas to create this mode that is design to extend battery life t o its extreme is very appealing to me. my favorite feature of the apple phone is apple pay because when it gets hacked it will stop people form whining that macs don't get viruses or get hacked.
Im going to go with the s5 on this one just because i prefer the android os. it a lot easier to work with than ios 8 and i love my s4 so I just figure this will be a logical and efficient upgrade to the current phone i have which i like a lot.
1. Starting of with the galaxy s5, it has HDR (Rich Tone). For both photos and videos, you can turn on the HDR when there is a strong counter light or when the subject is shaded. It also has an extremely fast auto-focus. That way, you can take HD pictures of anything going fast. Plus, it has selective focus, which allows you to blur out unnecessary objects that distract from the point of the picture. The iphone 6 has faster LTE download speeds, and so basically it the ability to get a 3 times better wireless connection than other phones. The iPhone gives you the ability to set your security of your phone to be your finger. 2. My favorite feature of the Galaxy s5 is the fact that it is dust and water resistant. It just gives you a lot less to worry about. Plus, you could go swimming with your phone in your pocket! That's quite impressive. My favorite feature of the iPhone 6 is the fast wireless connection. It's quite nice for people who don't have a lot of patience. 3. I would chose the Galaxy S5 over the iPhone 6 because it has a lot more cooler features. Like the combination of water/dust resistance and fast auto-focus picture-taking outweighs faster wireless internet in my opinion.
Sorry the internet has been down at my house since Friday so I wasn't able to complete my blog, is there any grace period? (:
Alright so the debate of the century, the one that has been going on for years now with many law suits, Samsung vs. Apple. The iPhone 6 is Apple’s slimmest, yet one of its largest phones to date. (The iPhone 6 Plus is even more massive, but it'll compete with Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 4 phablet). For the first time in two years, Apple upgraded the screen resolution and gave its smartphone a completely new design. lol it's so easy to tell when a blog online is biased in their opinion, "
There’s no doubt about it — the iPhone 6 is a beautiful phone. It’s super thin at 0.27 inches slim, while the Galaxy S5 measures about 0.31 inches thick.
I wouldn’t call the Galaxy S5 clunky, but it’s not as thin as Apple’s newest flagship. The Galaxy S5 is an improvement over the Galaxy S4, and its hard dimpled back makes it easy to grip. That being said, the iPhone 6 just feels more premium in terms of build quality." - Pretty biased if you ask me. There’s also a difference in the screen resolution between phones: the iPhone 6 has a 1334 x 750 resolution screen packing 326 pixels per inch, while the Galaxy S5 has a 1920 x 1080 screen with 432 pixels per inch. Want more biased opinions? "On paper, the Galaxy S5’s screen should be noticeably better than the iPhone 6’s. But in real-world testing, there didn’t seem to be too much of a difference. Both phones rendered images and video extremely sharply and crisply." Could you really notice the difference?
"Android apps tend to be a little less polished than iOS apps. Developers seem to pay more attention to iOS, giving apps for iPhone the best features and design elements and first. In many cases, it feels like developers still see Android as an afterthought."
"New apps and games tend to launch on iPhone first. If you like using the latest and greatest developers have to offer, you should stick with iPhone. You could be waiting months for the coolest hit app to hit the Galaxy S5."
"iOS is much more basic"
"The Galaxy S5 is better suited for hardcore multitaskers, and it also includes a heart rate monitor for those who need to closely monitor their health. It also has a larger screen, which is important to consider. If you use your phone for reading or watching TV shows often, you may benefit from the bigger display. If not, the iPhone 6’s sleeker design may be easier to squeeze in your pocket or use with one hand."
Honestly both phones are fantastic and I would love to have either, it just depends on if what your personal taste comes down to, IOS or Android, for me, I don't have a preference.
Describe in detail the differences between both phones. The Galaxy runs android, an open source and flexible OS that is very powerful. The IPhone runs iOS, that takes the cost of a much stricter and arguably weaker OS for the benefit of having a more regulated and thus more stable os.
The iPhone mostly will only interface with other ancillary apple products such as iTunes. The Galaxy will interface with just about anything you can think of. Computers with AirDroid, Smart Watches (However apple is jumping on that bandwagon as well now), servers. Anything you can think of.
The galaxy has swype, a type of keyboard.
Describe in detail your favorite feature of each phone. Samsung: Removable battery, This is a life saver, it can be changed right on the spot to go from 0% to 100% power instantly. Way better than a power brick.
iOS: Better application support. There are many applications exclusive to iOS that have either a delayed google play release or never get one at all.
Which phone would you choose and why? Samsung. I have had both devices in the past and I prefer both the interface and the open source nature of android.
1. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is water and dust proof. This phone includes a heart rate monitor and a power saving feature. The iPhone 6 plus has a 5.5 inch screen compared to the S5's 5.1 inch screen. The iPhone 6 comes with a bending feature, the phone can literally bend I don't know if its useful.
2. I like the water and dust proof feature on the Samsung S5. I like the bigger sized screen with the iPhone 6 plus. Which phone would you choose and why?
3. I would choose the S5 because there are more features than the iPhone. I own a iPhone 5 and wish I went with a android.
1. The Galaxy S5 seems to have a rather specific target audience in mind which I am not a part of, those who have very active lifestyles. It's biggest selling point is the camera as it has the most upgrades compared to the old phone. It has the ability to switch the focus of the picture after it has been taken (a feature I'm surprised wasn't implemented sooner). It also apparently has the ability to take shots of things in motion very easy, for those who take many pictures of quick moving things. It also sports "water resistance" going so far as to show a picture of a girl in a pool, giving the impression that any one who does a lot of activities in the rain or sweats profusely will be safe. Also has a heartbeat tracker and fitness monitors that of course are applicable to those that do a lot of exercise. Then there are a few non active functions that are rather striking like its battery saver mode and its fingerprint scanner (which apple had a while ago).
The iPhone 6/6+ however seems to have "revamped" just about everything, and then some more needless revamping. The screen is larger than any previous iPhone and the the 6+ is even larger than the galaxy... because that's necessary. The design is now smoothed out to the point that there are no sharp edges, which turns the phone into a weird oblong shape (neatly accented by their websites slow jumpy javascript animations). They did, however, largely bump up the amount of pixels in the screen which gives it a more HD display. They then boast about the efficiency of the devices hardware (a topic the galaxy didn't seem to mention). The video on the camera is apparently really impressive as opposed to Samsung photos. And finally the security is further bumped, to the point that you can pay with your credit card by only using your fingerprint (hopefully you dont cut your thumb). And of course the new device is very flexible (hehe).
2. I'm not personally jazzed about either product but I suppose the faster download speed on the Galaxy S5 would be my favorite. Likewise I like the increased pixel ration in the new iPhone's screen.
3. I would choose the Samsung Galaxy S5. However, I would not choose it for any of its new features. I would choose it for the same reason I chose the Galaxy S4, it's an Android. I personally prefer the ability to fully customize the way that my phone works as well as the the apps that run on it, opposed to the way that apple does not allow you to tamper with the iPhones unless you jailbreak them and void the warranty. This is just about the sole reason that I would pick a Galaxy over an iPhone with the exception of my preference towards the Galaxies design.
From the page provided I learned that the new IPhone has bigger and better everything apparently.
